Saskatoon radio station packs transit bus stuffed with meals

A radio station helps keep the shelves of the Saskatoon Food Bank and Learning Center stocked for the holidays.

Rock 102’s Stuff the Bus 2021 campaign raised 17,454 pounds of groceries as well as more than $ 30,000 in cash donations on Saturday.

“Every year we see the importance of bringing food to the table for families, especially during the holidays,” said Shack, host of the Rock 102 Morning Show. “We’re thrilled to be filling a Saskatoon Transit bus to the brim to have. This is really going to make a difference to so many families.

“Saskatoon caught on in a big way.”

Over the past 16 years, the campaign has raised more than 507,000 pounds of groceries and raised more than $ 447,000.
