Saskatoon police arrest stabbing suspect after man despatched to hospital – Saskatoon
Saskatoon police arrested a 29-year-old man and charged him with aggravated assault after medics from Medavie Health Services West hospitalized a 23-year-old man with life-threatening injuries.
According to a press release, officials and paramedics responded to an emergency call shortly after 9 p.m. that alerted them to an injured man downtown in an alley on the 200 block of 21 Street East, a popular dining district.
The forensic identification unit and patrol officers were on site until shortly after midnight on Saturday, a guard commander said.
The press release said the victim was in grave but stable condition.
