“I didn’t expect this to happen to me,” winner Matthew Poppel said in a statement from Sask Lotteries last month.

The winning streak continued last week with a $ 2 million Western 6/49 lottery draw. On Monday, just outside of town, a man at Dakota Dunes Casino won a $ 1.5 million smoke signal jackpot. It was then confirmed that a Lotto 6/49 ticket drawn on Wednesday had been purchased in Saskatoon.
