Saskatoon hearth division reply to deal with, deck hearth Saturday night time – Saskatoon
The Saskatoon Fire Department was there on Saturday night in a house and deck fire.
A statement said the fire department received a report at 7:26 p.m. of a fire in the back of a house on the 200 block on Avenue E North
Three fire engines, a cart, a heavy rescue unit and the battalion chief were sent to the scene.
Upon arrival at 7.30 p.m., the crews reported a deck and a house on fire. Incoming crews were assigned tactics.

Utilities have also been urged to shut down utilities completely and provide additional security at the crime scene.

The fire had spread from the outside of the house to the inside of the house. The fire brigade put out the outside fire that spread to the house.
No people or animals were found in the house during the crews’ searches. No civilians or firefighters were injured in the fire
The firefighters used a thermal imaging camera to align their hose lines to cool all hot spots. According to the battalion chief, the crews were on site for about one to one and a half hours.
A fire investigator was also dispatched to the crime scene and has since begun the investigation. The cause and development of the fire and an estimate of the damage are not yet available.
