Loss of life of 49-year-old man dominated murder, Saskatoon police say – Saskatoon
A murder investigation has been launched in the Mayfair neighborhood of Saskatoon.
Police said they were called to a “suspicious” death in a house on the 1800 block of Avenue B North at around 5:30 pm Thursday. The body of a 49-year-old man who was pronounced dead on site was found in the apartment.

His name has not been published by the Saskatoon Police Service (SPS).
An autopsy was ordered and is currently in progress, according to a press release on Friday.
As the police announced, those responsible are apparently known to the deceased at this point in time. Members of the SPS Serious Crime and Forensic Identification Units and Saskatchewan’s Coroners Service are continuing the investigation.

This death marks the fifth murder in the city in 2021.
