Canada Day occasion rocks the block in Saskatoon

SASKATOON – Some Saskatoon residents celebrated Canada Day by attending a block party.

Event organizer Bailey Fischl was thrilled that she was able to get the city’s first permit for the block party.

“We all want to make sure that we can do this as safely as possible and still have fun and community. I think everything is going according to plan, ”said Fischl.

The event had live music from local musicians as well as Saskatoon’s own Noodle Man to keep the crowd entertained and to enforce social distancing.

The event also served as a fundraiser for the Saskatoon Food Bank.
